Think of Dubai, and you think of luxury – so a $1.7 million car being towed by a $240,000 G-Wagen shouldn’t surprise you.

It’s so extravagant it’s left commenters questioning how it can be real footage

It is likely to be the most Dubai thing you’ll see all day.

How events unfolded on the streets of Dubai

Shared by Lovin Dubai via FLAT TWELVE, it’s captioned ‘The pooweerrr!!’ accompanied by several flame emojis – speaking of the horses behind the engine of the G-Wagen.

The G-Wagen appears to be carrying a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.

Over the video is written a POV: “When you are so rich that you carry $1.7M Car with $240k G-Wagen.”

Below that it reads: “Just an ordinary day in Dubai…”

The footage, presumably captured by a drone, shows exactly what is described.

Other drivers don’t seem to bat an eyelid given the excess seen on the streets of the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, best known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture, and its nightlife.

Some of the commenters were struck by disbelief.

“That’s CGI cmon,” one said, with a ‘crying laughing’ emoji to punctuate.

“Bro is carrying his grandfather,” said another.

A third added something we wee all thinking: “A lot of trust put in that driver.”

The G-Wagen

While from this distance we can’t see exactly what model is doing the towing, what we can tell is that it is a G-Wagen.

Speaking of the Mercedes behemoth, the world’s first electric G-Wagen has a soundbar under the hood so it sounds like a gas engine.

If this video weren’t proof enough of its power, the Mercedes G-Wagen has gone up against a Ford Bronco in a furious tug of war.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

Up there with the most iconic sports cars of all time, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was the fastest production car of its day.

However, it’s perhaps best known for its distinctive gullwing doors.
