This custom Camaro pays a very special tribute to the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
As a matter of fact, it has managed to revive the legendary nameplate.
The project in question comes to you from a group of guys in Florida.
And those guys took the Camaro and used it to pay tribute, creating a 1,000hp monster.

Tallahassee team used a custom Camaro to revive a legend
Today’s story is of a very special tribute paid to a four-wheeled American icon.
And it comes to us from the state of Florida – specifically, Tallahassee.
Trans Am Worldwide currently holds the rights to that name.
And the artisans in question certainly haven’t wasted the rights to the nameplate.
As a matter of fact, the team got to work producing some very special tributes.

The group got their hands on 50 sixth-generation Camaro units.
And each unit eventually evolved into what would become the Trans Am Super Duty 455.
Before you ask, this wasn’t your typical run-of-the-mill revival project.
Every single Super Duty 455 unit was hand-crafted and hand-built.
Trans Am transformation is something to behold
So, what exactly did the team do to convert this custom Camaro?
Each Camaro was stripped down and revived as something much wilder than before.
Every angle was sculpted in carbon fiber, giving the car a menacing – yet modern – appearance.
And you’ll be even more amazed when you see what awaits under the hood.
A 455 cubic-inch supercharged V8 lurks underneath – and it belts out 1,000hp.
Oh – and it will also push out 1,046lb-ft of torque.
Power is channeled through an old-school, six-speed manual gearbox.
The result is something that can only really be described as a thunderstorm on wheels.

Of course, no Trans Am would be complete without the legendary hood livery.
The guys at Trans Am Worldwide just had to add the classic Firebird to the hood.
Overall, the end result is something truly epic and original.
You might have never thought that a Camaro could serve as the basis of a Trans Am tribute.
We think you’ll agree that the team in Tallahassee has proved it’s possible.
