As part of a new update, the Tesla Cybertruck is set to get a new off-road mode, bringing new features to the electric pickup truck.

As part of this major update to the EV truck systems, Tesla is adding some hotly-anticipated features to the vehicle.

The last major software update improved the truck’s handling, charging, and more.

This time, Tesla has announced a new big software update for the EV truck with two new off-road modes.

The two new off-roading modes are geared for different terrains:

Overland Mode: More consistent handling & better overall traction while driving on rock, gravel, deep snow, or sand.

Baja Mode: Vehicle balance is improved & the vehicle handles more freely when Stability Assist is set to Minimal.

With this new update, the Cybertruck will do even better on off-road trails than before, as we can see here.

The EV truck will also be getting traction modes, locking differential abilities, and a tent mode.

Tesla has already showcased the truck’s ability to climb extremely difficult hazardous routes on stock tires.

Many Cybertruck owners have also posted videos showcasing the EV truck’s off-roading capabilities.

To everyone’s surprise, the vehicle will now get even better.

Tesla posted about the new update on the Cybertruck account on X.

The post showed an image of the new Off-Road Mode screen with different settings.

Finally, the automaker is also releasing the highly-anticipated ‘CyberTent Mode‘.

This mode keeps the EV truck level, runs the AC, keeps the tonneau cover open, and outlets powered.

This feature is designed to work with the $3000 basecamp tent add-on accessory for the Cybertruck.

While Elon Musk has long pitched the Tesla Cybertruck as an ‘apocalypse-proof’ vehicle, many still doubt its usability.

However, with the new off-road settings, things are looking up for the EV truck.
