The Chinese have made an enormous impact on the car market in just a few short years.
Brands from the Far East have been well received, with BYD even overtaking Tesla in Europe and the UK.
Now, though, the Chinese government has revealed the next stage of its plan.

Chinese government files for fascinating car
The Chinese government has officially filed for a very interesting car.
According to social media reports, a fascinating hybrid vehicle is in the works.
The reports appear to point towards Chinese manufacturer Geely offering something big.
Geely is reportedly working on adding a plug-in hybrid called the Galaxy A7 to its lineup.
Reports are going so far as to suggest that this Geely Galaxy A7 will offer incredible fuel economy.
In fact, it is even being suggested that it will require less than three litres of gas for every 100km.
That equates to an economy range of around 78 miles per gallon.

According to the reports, this five-seater sedan could offer a range of around 1,300 miles on a single charge.
This new Geely Galaxy A7 is reported to be in the final stages of approval.
Once the Geely Galaxy A7 clears the government catalog, it will be made available for sale.
Aside from its lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) batteries, the A9 comes with a normal, ICE engine.
Under the hood, one finds a 1.5 liter engine that finds itself supported by an 82kW motor.
It all adds up to a top speed of around 118mph.
Could Geely Galaxy A7 represent the next stage for Far East?
This upcoming Geely Galaxy A7 represents the latest stage of the growing Chinese car industry.
2025 has seen the Far East nation take its biggest steps forward to date.
Great Wall Motor (GWM), for example, set the supercar world alight earlier this year.
The Chinese brand claimed that it is aiming to take Ferrari’s supercar crown in the near future.
And BYD has very much been flying the flag for China in the EV world.

In fact, BYD has become the surprise brand to knock Tesla off its EV-topping perch.
April and May have seen BYD surpass Tesla in popularity across Europe and the UK.
Could the upcoming Geely Galaxy A7 hybrid represent the next stage of Chinese dominance?
If recent history is anything to go by, there is every chance that it just might do that.
