Emma Raducanu posted a cryptic photo of herself, suggesting that she may have reclaimed her Porsche.

The 21-year-old tennis star was first gifted her Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet back in 2021 and she was taken with it.

Unfortunately, Porsche wanted it back.

Now, it’s unclear where her car is exactly.

What’s the backstory behind Emma Raducanu’s Porsche?

Raducanu has been an ambassador for the brand since 2022, following her victory at the US Open.

The Porsche came along with the sponsorship.

However, earlier this month, it was reported by The Sun that the car was taken back by the manufacturer.

Someone close to Raducanu reportedly said: “Emma no longer has a Porsche.

“They took it back. It used to have pride of place at her home.”

A spokesperson for Porsche was quoted saying that the car had been loaned on ‘an ad hoc basis’.

Although the German brand has been known to retrieve cars from celebrity ambassadors, this was no indication that their dealings with Raducanu had come to a end.

The young athlete has remained in her role as a global brand ambassador.

Did Emma Raducanu get her beloved car back?

It’s been a few weeks since the Porsche was taken back, and Raducanu seemed to have moved on.

In response, she picked up a more modest car- namely a Dacia Sandero.

However, a recent photo has emerged which suggests that she’s been reunited with her GTS.

The shot shows Raducanu sat inside a car, with the GTS logo appearing on the head-rest of the passenger seat.

Shared to her Instagram, the caption read: “Like I vanished and reappeared.”

Given that there’s no indication on when the photo was taken, it remains unclear whether it was taken before her GTS was taken back.

It’s possible that she used her earnings to pick up her own, but it’s too soon to tell.

Who knows how big her car collection will be a few years time?

She’ll find herself in good company with fellow famous faces such as Rowan Atkinson, Jerry Seinfeld and Dwayne Johnson, who have all enviable hauls.
