Shaquille O’Neal, better known as Shaq, is one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

The four-time NBA Championship winner is also one of the largest – literally.

He also has a long-documented issue with finding cars to fit his 7’0″ frame.

And the internet thinks that he might be lying about his custom Dodge Hellcat.

Shaquille O’Neal: dominance personified

Even if you aren’t a basketball fan, Shaquille O’Neal is a name that you will know.

The New Jersey native, who was 6’4″ when he was 10, would become utterly dominant in the NBA.

The NBA center would be drafted in 1992 with the first overall pick by the Orlando Magic.

A dominant spell in Florida would lead Shaq to go west to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996.

Four NBA titles in six years (2000-20002, 2006) would solidify him as a giant of the game.

In fact, many people still consider O’Neal to be the most dominant center to ever play in the NBA.

Shaq loves the Dodge Hellcat – a lot

Here at Supercar Blondie, we have frequently covered Shaq and his car struggles.

Specifically, the NBA legend has purchased almost every supercar that you can think of.

However, he’s always had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars just to make them fit.

On The Big Podcast with Shaq, he explained his passion for the Dodge Charger Hellcat.

He explained that, while driving his Lamborghini, he got “blown out” by a Charger Hellcat.

The star then decided, naturally, to take a look at the supercar smashing Dodge.

To his utter shock, he found that it comfortably fit his huge frame.

So, O’Neal now owns nine Hellcats – because of course he does.

Has Shaquille O’Neal lied about his Hellcat?

Recently, a lot of debate was sparked on social media – obviously.

This time though, it concerns O’Neal and one of his beloved Charger Hellcat cars.

A social media influencer called “Mr.Gotdamnit” on Instagram sparked controversy.

He released a video of himself driving one of Shaq’s Dodge cars – nothing wrong there.

However, the influencer made the claim that this particular Charger Hellcat cost over $1.4 million.

The influencer shows off the driver seat bracket, which has been extended to fit Shaq.

Naturally, lots of people on social media latched onto this, noting that this would never cost $1.4 million.

Now, in our research, we have never found the legend to claim that he spent millions upgrading his Hellcat.

That being said, it’s an extremely cool build, and we admire the passion he has for the Hellcat.
