Ford has released its FX package for the seventh-generation Mustang, and its retro-inspired beauty brings all the 1980s vibes.
The Fox Body Ford Mustangs were the third-generation of the vehicle, built between 1979 and 1993.
And, like many things that hark back from the 1980s and 1990s, the original Fox Body is enjoying a bit of a renaissance.
But if you can’t get your hands on one of the originals, then fear not – because Ford has you covered with its FX package.

The third-generation Mustang was based on the Fox platform and came in various models including a coupe and convertible.
The Fox Body even went on to inspire the super rare Ford M81 McLaren Mustang.

For those who missed out on the vehicle first time around, Ford has revealed its FX package that will give the modern Mustang a retro-makeover that pays homage to the classic.
The package is available for the seventh-generation Mustang GT Premium coupe and convertible models on either automatic or manual transmission and with or without the Performance Pack.
The FX package includes all-white badges and wheels, as well as white grille nostrils and tailights for cars with the Performance Pack. It also features retro-style Mustang lettering.
There’s a couple of 19-inch wheel options available, with customers able to choose from the split five-spoke design or the Fox Body style.
Vehicles with the FX package can be ordered in a couple of new paint colors: Adriatic Blue Metallic, which is inspired by the teal color featured on the original Fox Body, and Orange Fury Metallic Tricoat, which hasn’t been seen on a Mustang since 2019.

The interiors have been thoroughly updated, or should that be backdated?
It amps up the 1980s nostalgia with black and white plaid leather seat inserts and dual-tone stitching in City Silver and Adriatic Blue.
There are also a few color options available for the seatbelts, including Prima Blue and black with a bold red stripe.
As yet, the price of the FX package is yet to be revealed, but it’s tipped to be available to order from later this month, so we don’t have too long a wait to find out.
