A fabulous Jaguar E-Type has been given the world’s most expensive wheels made from fighter jet titanium, and it looks spectacular.

The Jaguar E-Type has always been a bit of a design icon, Enzo Ferrari once described it as ‘the most beautiful car ever made’, but these custom wheels elevate it even further.

Each wheel costs more than the car itself, priced at $300,000 each.

This is a mind-bending fusion of a classic design and aerospace-grade obsession, a superstar jet plane for the road.

This custom Jaguar E-Type gets the world’s most expensive wheels

There’s nothing as classy as a classic Jaguar E-Type from the 1960s, it is a supercar revered by some of the most famous motorsports or automaker icons.

However, the timeless beauty of this supercar has been brought into the future with a clever piece of aerospace engineering.

German tuner JP Performance has transformed the Jag into a rolling piece of engineering art, creating a one-off titanium rim that costs more than some supercars.

A customization made from fighter jet titanium

These aren’t your everyday alloys; each rim started its life as a solid block of titanium – the stuff used in an F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.

These rims require a lot of work, so the combination of the labour and the expensive material, means that the wheels come with a very hefty price tag.

At $300,000, each rim costs more than the Jag itself.

The retro elegance of a classic Jaguar E-Type perfectly meshes with the glorious modernized rims.

While titanium wheels have a better strength-to-weight ratio, which could make things a bit speedier, the weight of the material itself is slightly heavier, so the performance kind of cancels itself out.

Turns out these rims are mainly made to look good, but with the performance of the E-Type being so good anyway, a little bit of bling can’t hurt.

This luxury british car is quite the sight to behold as is, but add a couple of $300,000 rims from a German tuner, and it’s a total game-changer.
