Ford is gearing up to open American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience in Los Angeles, bringing Mustang history to life.
There are few American cars as iconic, or with such a rich history, as the Mustang.
So, the Blue Oval has decided to honor the legendary pony car by creating an ‘immersive experience’ in downtown LA that is being created by the same people behind Titanic: An Immersive Voyage and Jurassic World: The Experience.
American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience is set to open in November, and it sounds like an absolute must for car lovers.

The ‘immersive experience’ will be a celebration of Mustang history
Launching all the way back in 1964, the Ford Mustang is a car that has stood the test of time.
From early models like this first-generation K-code, to more recent offerings, like this 2025 Mustang GT, the car is a cultural phenomenon.

And to celebrate one of its most beloved nameplates, Ford has announced it will be opening American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience in LA in November.
While it is designed to cover Mustang history, Ford explained that this isn’t a museum where you have to stand behind a velvet rope, but a fully immersive experience designed to transport you into the heart of the Mustang.
“You won’t just see the blueprints; you’ll feel the nervous energy of the Dearborn design studio in 1963, a place humming with the hope of getting it right,” Ford said.
“You won’t just hear the sound of a V8; you’ll feel the rumble in your bones, the same vibration that has telegraphed freedom to generations. You will walk through the cultural moments that the Mustang didn’t just influence, but helped create.”
Sounds full-on, doesn’t it?

Inside American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience, you’ll find several ‘multi-sensory environments’ and an ‘adrenaline-pumping’ 4D ride, as well as famous Mustangs from TV and film.
It opens on November 8 with tickets costing $26, and visits lasting between a little over an hour to an hour and a half.
More than 60 years of the Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang has been in continuous production since 1964 and is currently in its seventh generation.
Initially predicted to shift 100,000 vehicles per year, the launch of the 1965 Mustang was Ford’s most successful vehicle launch to date, with one million sold in just two years.
Today, the car is Ford’s fifth-best-selling nameplate, and the marque has built more than 10 million, cementing its place as a true automotive icon.
