A man was willing to fly from Arizona to New Jersey and part with a cool $1 million to get his hands on a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster.

Lamborghini launched the Aventador in 2011 and unveiled the Aventador SVJ Roadster model in 2019.

The supercar has a reworked version of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12, which gives it an output of 760hp and a 0-62mph time of just 2.8 seconds.

Production numbers on the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster were kept to a strict 800, meaning they’re pretty hard to come by.

The man was keen to seal the deal for the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster

So when an older gentleman in Scottsdale, Arizona, saw one up for sale in  Ewing, New Jersey, he didn’t think twice about jumping on a plane.

The man had seen the car listed for sale at the luxury car dealership J&S Auto Haus, which is headed up by George J Saliba, who you may remember as the guy who unearthed a $20,000 secret inside a Mercedes SLR McLaren, or from the time a customer tried to trade their beach home for a supercar.

After arriving at the dealership, he explained that he had previously owned a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, but had decided to sell it.

And it seemed he had regretted that decision ever since, and wasted no time in getting behind the wheel of the one at J&S Auto Haus.

“Done deal, beautiful car, I’ll wire you the money on Monday,” he joked.

Before vowing to ‘never sell this one’ – and we can see why.

The stunning supercar has just 1,000 miles on the clock, and appeared to be in absolutely pristine condition.

As you’d probably expect, the Lambo wasn’t going cheap, and the new owner handed over $1 million to get himself the car, but from the looks of it, he had zero regrets.

The new owner had an impressive car collection

After the man agreed to purchase the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, Saliba and his team attempted to pique his interest with some of the other cars on the forecourt.

And it was then that the man let slip that he had quite the car collection at home already.

His new SVJ Roadster will be joining a Porsche 918 Spyder and a Porsche Carrera GT, as well as a Ferrari 812 Competitizione.

Does anyone else feel a little bit envious?
