A lucky new homeowner will soon be able to live it up like Marky Mark.

Ex-rapper and Hollywood action star Mark Wahlberg has put his opulent North Beverly Park home on the market for a whopping $87.5 million.

The sprawling 2834-square-metre property was bought by the actor, who shot to fame as rapper Marky Mark, in 2009 for $8.25 million.

The 50-year-old made substantial upgrades, according to the New York Post.

North Beverly Park is described by Westside Estate Agency as “the most exclusive gated community on the West Coast”.

The mega mansion was designed by celebrity architect Richard Landry and boasts 12 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, a tennis court, a home theatre, a resort-like grotto pool, a skate park and a guest house.

Of course, it also houses a huge gym, which Wahlberg regularly posts from on social media.

The listing describes the property as a “truly a once in a lifetime opportunity” and it was built using “the finest quality of materials and craftsmanship ever seen”.

Wahlberg is currently promoting his movie, Father Stu, which is based on a true story about an amateur boxer who turns to priesthood.

The Hollywood actor found fame in the 1990s when he became a household name with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

He then took up acting, making his debut in the 1994 film Renaissance Man before his breakthrough role as Eddie Adams (aka Dirk Diggler) in 1997’s Boogie Nights.

From there, Wahlberg became a popular action star, winning roles in The Italian Job and Planet of the Apes.

He was nominated for an Academy Award for best performance by an actor in a supporting role for 2006’s The Departed.

His 2010 film, The Fighter, was also nominated for an Oscar for best motion picture.

Wahlberg is married to model Rhea Durham, with whom he shares four children.
