This YouTuber decided to embark upon one of the most challenging adventures ever by getting himself a Mini Jeep and modifying it so he could drive it on a 100-mile snowy trail to Area 51.

He hails from the United Kingdom but has been in Utah in the United States, for this big journey.

The Mini Jeep in question here is actually tiny, so much so that it looks like a kid’s toy.

Some work had to be done to make it fit for the nightmarish path.

Man transformed Mini Jeep to get to Area 51

Ed is on an adventure — or rather, was — to get his ‘Willy’ Mini Jeep to Area 51.

He posted two parts of his journey on the YouTube channel ‘c90adventures.’

Getting to Area 51 is quite the fascination for a lot of enthusiasts these days, and this case probably took it to another level.

To make his vehicle ready for the extreme region, he had to equip it with special gear.

For context, the alleged path to Area 51 here is a 100-mile-ish trek through deep and soft snow.

Moreover, the region saw a snowstorm when he traveled there, making things much more challenging.

The YouTuber started off by converting the Mini Jeep so it could fit a Honda ATV engine with help from his team and friends.

That itself took quite a while, but it wasn’t over just yet.

He harvested tracks from two snowmobiles and put them on Willy to make it drive on snow.

Now, you obviously can’t just attach tracks to any vehicle, let alone a custom Mini Jeep.

Figuring out the new frame and its attachments took them a few days, and they eventually installed the tracks.

It quickly became a survival mission

At last, it was time for Ed to take Willy to the snowy path.

Merely five miles in, the Jeep broke down.

Things certainly weren’t looking good, but he came prepared.

After some fixes and getting the snow off, he continued the adventure.

Ed had to tackle yet more obstacles to go farther because his Mini Jeep was pushing a lot of snow.

It took him several hours to reach an altitude of 9,000 feet, and he hadn’t had proper shelter for several miles.

There was some hope left, though, as he saw a shack in the distance.

That’s the cliffhanger we’re left on for that installment.

What we do know is that his choice of vehicle was excellent.
