The most expensive home for sale in the world this year was an extremely luxurious $314 million estate in Regent’s Park, London, in the UK.
Called The Holme, and also known as the ‘White House of Regent’s Park’, has sold for only 44 percent of its extortionate asking price.
The Holme was built all the way back in 1818 and has 40 bedrooms, a tennis court, a fully-stacked library, and even a sauna.
Whoever bought this very expensive estate, even at the reduced price, must have a lot of amazing supercars – because they can keep it in one of the eight garages provided.

Buying the most expensive home…at a discount
The Holme, AKA the ‘White House of Regent’s Park’, is the most expensive home in the world. And despite being on the market for $314 million, it only sold for $139 million, 44 percent of its original asking price.
Even at it’s reduced price, it was still one of the most expensive homes to sell in the whole of the UK and when you hear about what’s on the table, the price tag makes slightly more sense.
Firstly, the location of the 30,000 square foot estate is smack-bang in the middle of Regent’s Park, an extremely pricey area in central London.
The mansion and estate were built back in 1818 by a British architect James Burton.
It’s very close to Winfield House, where the US Ambassador to the UK lives, which might be part of the reason for the nickname, apart from how it looks.

Along with the tonnes of acreage, the Holme comes with a fully-stocked library, 40, yes, 40 bedrooms, a tennis court, and even a sauna.
The owner must be a person after our own hearts, as they have plenty of space to park a big supercar collection, eight whole garages, in fact.
This amazing estate has been bought by one very lucky mystery buyer. But the previous owners lost the estate to repossession because of an expired loan.
