The all-new Ferrari SF-26 Formula 1 car is finally here – but is it the car to finally bring the title back to Maranello?

The machine has been built to all-new regulations for 2026.

And it will hit the track in the hands of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.

But will they race to victory after being without a title since 2008?

Ferrari unveils the SF-26 for upcoming charge

Anticipation is starting to build ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Teams are in the process of unveiling liveries and new cars – and Scuderia Ferrari is the latest to join the party.

Maranello has just unveiled its SF-26 Formula 1 car.

The iconic red-and-white livery is as striking as ever.

And it is beautifully complemented by shades of black all around the creation.

But the looks are far from the priority for Maranello.

Because it will be hoping that this is the car to finally lead Ferrari to Formula 1 glory once again.

The legendary Italian outfit hasn’t won the Teams title since 2008.

But the Drivers’ crown has eluded them even longer, with Kimi Raikkonen last winning it for Ferrari in 2007.

Fred Vasseur continues as team principal

It has been confirmed that drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will team up once more for 2026.

But what is also interesting is that Frenchman Fred Vasseur will remain as team principal.

Vasseur has come under increasing pressure for his failure to provide a competitive car.

But it appears that he will be given at least this season to turn things around.

Speaking at the launch, Vasseur emphasised the improvements that have gone into the SF-26.

“2026 for sure will be a very exciting season,” Vasseur said as the SF-26 emerged.

“It’s probably the biggest change in the regulations of F1 over the last 25 years. We are changing the chassis, the engine, the battery, the tyres, the sporting regulations.”

“It means that the approach is a bit different. We have to start from scratch on every single topic. The launch of the season is always exciting, but I think this one is particularly exciting.”

The Frenchman was then asked what message he had for the ‘Tifosi’, aka Ferrari fans.

“The message for the Tifosi is a huge ‘grazie mille per vostro support’ (thank you so much for your support).”

“For me, it’s very important, it’s even crucial, to have the support from the Tifosi in every single circumstance.”

Formula 1 testing is currently ongoing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

Ferrari is, of course, among most of the teams currently participating in the test.

We will have to wait and see if the SF-26 can be the car to break Maranello’s drought.
