This YouTuber who went viral for a video describing the shocking price of running costs for his Porsche Taycan EV was left even more disappointed when he realized it was now deemed worthless.
Not only did he find the Porsche Taycan to be incredibly tricky to maintain, it had also hugely depreciated in value.
After deciding to trade in his Taycan for a Porsche 911, he came to a horrifying conclusion.
His experience with the car has put him completely off EVs as a whole.

The worthless car
Lee Alexander Davey, known online as The MacMaster had previously gone viral when divulging to his audience the sky-high maintenance costs to keep his not-so-beloved Porsche Taycan EV running.
His troubles with the car persisted when he struggled to find the specific charging port for the car and had to wait for it to charge.
During this process he had to download a new app on his phone and payment issues occurred.
It seemed that this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
He’d finally given up on the Taycan, sharing his plans to sell the car to a dealership and invest in a used Porsche 911 instead.
He was in for quite a shock when the dealership informed him that his car was worthless.
He doesn’t think EVs are worth it
Due to many Porsche Taycan drivers returning their cars to the dealership, they refused to take his car.
They suggested that he may have better luck on the private market, which is why people are buying secondhand Taycans so cheaply.
It seems that there are far more Taycans available than demand for them, which is why when the heater in his car broke immediately after the dealership visit – a problem experienced by a lot of Taycan drivers.
Davey was glum at the prospect of losing so much money on the vehicle.
His experience with the model has been so disappointing for him that it has put him completely off buying EVs.
While all EVs shouldn’t be tarred with the same brush, it’s not surprising that the YouTuber thinks they are not worth the money.
