Porsche 918 Spyder goes viral for a different reason
The Porsche 918 Spyder is a truly special and incredible hypercar.
But of course, such special cars come with truly out-of-this-world prices.
A post from Reddit has been going viral for outlining this exact, very thing.
The post, from Reddit user @Blazarnova, showed a pristine 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder.
The Spyder in question was seen sitting in what appeared to be an elegant showroom.

But it wasn’t actually the car itself that was the reason for the post going so viral.
Instead, it was the second picture attached to the post – the one showing all the optional extras.
Among the listed optional extras is the paint option for, ‘Liquid Metal Silver’.
Does anybody want to take a peek at how much this special, ‘Liquid Metal Silver’ would cost you?
Brace yourselves – it would set you back a whopping $63,000.
$63,000 paint job draws emotive reactions
Naturally, such a staggering price has elicited some…interesting reactions.
The top comment (from the original poster), said, “PTS is one thing but 63k for silver”, alongside a laughing emoji.
Another person commented, “I bought two houses for less than the paint option.”
If that’s true, that Redditor has landed on a very forgiving real estate market.

The Porsche 918 Spyder, on its own, costs $845,000 MSRP.
When you put it into perspective, the $63,000 might not seem so expensive in relation to the cost of the car.
But even so – imagine the different types of car you could buy for the cost of a Porsche 918 Spyder paint job.
Would you pay $63,000 for the “Liquid Metal Silver” paint job on the Porsche 918 Spyder?
