One of the things that people are most excited about when it comes the new iPhone 15 is the new ‘Action Button’.

Remember the mute-unmute button? It’s gone, and in its place is now an action button that you can customize.

And some Tesla owners saw this as a perfect opportunity to ‘teslafy’ their iPhone.

You can use your Tesla app or your key fob to check your car’s battery level, start the car or the AC, open the windows and so on.

So now Tesla owners are using the iPhone’s action button as a customizable key fob for their vehicle.

The button can be programmed to open the trunk (or the frunk), start the AC and unlock the car.

But the list of things you can use it for is endless.

Back when it was still a start-up, some people called Tesla the ‘Apple of cars’.

The companies do share some similarities, chief among which is the fact that both Tesla and Apple owners are quite ‘passionate’ about their choice and would have a hard time switching brands.

So this new Action Button feature makes perfect sense.

In order to set it up, users can go to their iPhone’s settings, navigate to ‘Action Button,’ then ‘Shortcuts,’ and then select the Tesla shortcut they prefer.

Predictably, Tesla owners are now showcasing the latest Apple feature on X, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

And people are taking to the comments to share their impressions.

“You can set up a menu so it can do multiple things, too,” one user said.

“That’s cool!” another said.

Not everyone was on board, though.

“So what if you press the button by mistake and don’t realize it?” one asked.

“Not sure what the advantage is to set it to unlock, though,” another said.
