By now, you’re probably familiar with weird and wonderful innovations from Tesla.

The American brand is constantly pushing the boundaries of what people consider possible.

Recently, the company announced its plans for an Unsupervised Full Self-Driving test in Texas.

And now, cars made at the Gigafactory are driving themselves to the lot.

Tesla planning Full Self-Driving test in June

For over a decade, Tesla has promised a future with driverless cars.

In recent months, the innovation and development of the Tesla CyberCab has only confirmed that goal.

Tesla has been working with the city of Austin to obtain regulatory approval for Full Self-Driving, or FSD.

However, in order to do that, the brand has to prove that its cars are safe while unsupervised.

With the CyberCab not planned for release until 2027, the company is planning to use the Model Y and Model 3.

These FSD tests are reportedly planned for June, with Tesla actively preparing for them.

Texas vehicles driving themselves to the lot

A couple of months ago, the brand announced that its cars in Fremont, California were self-driving to the lot.

And now, it appears that the Tesla Gigafactory in Travis County, Texas, has followed suit.

In a post on Twitter/X, a man named Joe Tegtmeyer released some very interesting footage.

The post from the long-time facility observer showed new Cybertruck and Model Y units self-driving.

In particular, the EVs were able to entirely self-navigate to the outbound lot of the facility.

It’s also been reported that Tesla is in discussion with Austin officials about providing a robotaxi service.

If these early signs are anything to go by, it appears that the brand is one large step closer to achieving that goal.
