The Model Y Juniper is set to be Tesla’s big hitter in 2025, refreshing arguably the most popular EV ever released.

Now, the electric car behemoth has revealed a first look at the Tesla Model Y Juniper after releasing images on its Chinese website.

Tesla Model Y Juniper revealed on Chinese website
Tesla hasn’t done the best job in the world at keeping this extremely foreseen electric car a secret, as camouflaged Model Y Junipers have been spotted during road tests in America on a number of occasions.
Now, the car that was originally announced back in 2023 has been revealed on Tesla’s Chinese website.
The website is opening up orders too, pricing the Rear-wheel drive edition at ¥263,500 ($36,000) and the Long-range all-wheel drive.
Deliveries are expected to begin in March.
The Juniper range has been quite heavily related to the Chinese market as the updated Model Y was pictured outside of Tesla’s Shanghai factory in the latter stages of 2024.
It has now been revealed to expectant fans.
The Model Y refresh will see some significant performance upgrades, starting with a change to 19″ wheels and a battery increase which pairs together for a 20-mile improvement in range (446 miles on a full charge).
The motor has been improved too, as Tesla claims the car can now hit 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds, down from the previous 4.9.
As for its appearance, well, on the exterior, the Tesla Model Y Juniper will get the Cybertruck-like front bar headlight and has a narrower front end with a new bumper designed to help its cameras and sensors with parking and accuracy.
The rear also has the bar taillight, which they have been desperate to keep hidden.
On the interior, a quieter cabin, ambient lighting, a rear screen, and some updates to the software on the dashboard and screen have been added to make for a comfier experience and heightened performance.
Interestingly, the Chinese site didn’t appear to reveal the six-seater Juniper.
Reports emerged that a three three-row version of the Model Y was coming specifically with the Chinese audience in mind, to rival competitor EVs.
The Juniper was originally planned to be released in 2024, but after delays with production and recalls to some Cybertrucks, the car is now expected to be released early in 2025.
