The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has just completely obliterated a world record, beating its Rimac rival.
Sweden’s premier hypercar marque briefly found itself upended by the Rimac Nevera.
So Koenigsegg sent its most lethal weapon onto the track to regain its crown.
And it didn’t just reclaim its crown – it absolutely destroyed the record in the process.

Koenigsegg briefly had its throne stolen by Rimac
The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut represents the crème de la crème of the hypercar world.
It represents the pinnacle, the cutting edge of what is possible within a hypercar.
Koenigsegg emphatically proved this point by destroying a world record last year.
2024 saw the Jesko Absolute complete the 0-400-0kmh acceleration test.
And it managed to achieve this unreal feat of acceleration in just 27.83 seconds.
Lurking in the shadows was Rimac – and its all-electric hypercar offering, the Nevera.

To its credit, the Rimac Nevera decided to do a little record-breaking of its own, completing the same challenge in just 25.79 seconds.
Having achieved this just last month, the hypercar world waited with bated breath.
What would the Swedish supercar brand’s response be? Could there even be a response to such an achievement?
Well, the brand has, indeed, hit back – and it has swung for the bleachers.
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut hits back in a big way

He might be out of cars to sell, but Christian von Koenigsegg clearly doesn’t appreciate people spoiling the party.
Far from sitting back and applauding its EV rivals, the supercar maker decided to up the stakes.
So, they decided to send their test driver, Markus Lundh, to the test track.
And he didn’t exactly come back empty-handed – in fact, he came back with the crown.
The Jesko Absolut was tweaked to such a degree that it can now compete with electric hypercars.
In the video, which you can see above, Christian von Koenigsegg explains the level that the brand now competes at.
And that level is more than evident, with Lundh completing the 0-400-0 dash in just 25.21 seconds.
He credits new and improved software strategies dubbed ‘Absolut Overdrive’.
We simply have to credit the Jesko Absolut for such an unbelievable feat.
