This man from Utah decided to treat himself to a brand new daily driver from China, but all was not as it seemed, as it was actually dubbed the world’s cheapest new car.
One group of guys had a lot on their hands when receiving the new set of wheels.
The bright blue EV boasted a shiny appearance online; however, when the car eventually arrived, the reality was a completely different story.
Do not fear, though, as the YouTuber had a great plan to make the best out of a bad situation.

China is a frontrunner in the car world, and it’s not hard to see why.
From clever battery technology to revolutionary accessories, it’s ahead of the game in more ways than one, which is exactly why YouTuber HeavyDSparks decided to buy an EV from there.
However, it wasn’t any old standard sedan. Instead, it was supposedly the world’s cheapest new car, the Chang Li.

“It’s even smaller than the pictures,” said HeavyDSparks, as the car was loaded off the truck.
But, it wasn’t all bad, as although small, it was solid.
“This is well-built, this is no joke,” he continued.

The car is said to cost just $3,800, with the import company taking care of all of the importation costs.
“To get this to USA standards, you’re going to need a bigger motor,” said one of the guys, as they weighed the car to see how much it came in at while being full to the brim with passengers.

Next, they decided to put the Chinese EV to the real test and see how well it performed on a flatline speed challenge.
Reaching a maximum of 25kmh, the car needed a slight helping hand to hit the open road.
Why the electric car needed a little bit of help
In order to make the most out of the EV, the YouTuber decided to make some modifications to see what the EV from China was really capable of.
He added elements, including two generators, and explained that after the new additions, ‘this bad boy’s dialled’.
So, with its newfound power, they took the tiny car to the streets, but after a while, the battery didn’t feel like cooperating.
The fun wasn’t over just yet, though, as the guys got towed back to their shop by a buddy and reached speeds of up to 60mph.
After the EV proved to be one step up from a golf cart, the YouTuber had some big plans to take it off-road and see how it coped.
How do you think it fared? For a car that costs the same as a vacation, it wasn’t too bad after all.
