This Utah man just bought a 104-year-old barn find for just $20,000.

But it turns out that driving the century-old vehicle didn’t turn out exactly how he thought it would.

The incredible discovery is just one of two vehicles that were part of the deal.

But it is an absolutely unbelievable find.

HeavyDSparks buys 104-year-old vehicle in barn find

Dave Sparks is the man who runs the HeavyDSparks YouTube channel.

The Utah man dedicates his channel to all things automotive.

But today’s video is slightly different.

In his latest offering, Sparks spent $20,000 on a Facebook Marketplace barn find.

The lady in question was selling off equipment from her land that her late husband left.

As a result, she simply wanted to clear out most of the space.

The centerpiece of the haul was a barn find – a 1922 Ford Model T.

But the best part is that it was an incredibly rare, completely original example.

Unlike most restoration projects, this 104-year-old Model T was pristine.

It still featured its original wooden body and century-old craftsmanship.

But it appeared as if it had been stuck in a time capsule since the 1920s.

He weighed the options of keeping it as a ‘survivor’ versus a full restoration.

Mack truck found among the pile

The other remarkable find from this trip was a 1962 Mack B73 semi-truck.

This truck was powered by a Cummins 220 diesel engine, which roared into life.

But the most surprising part was that it only had 6,000 original miles.

Dave test-drove the 15-speed manual truck and immediately fell in love with it.

After some negotiation with the widow, they agreed on a price.

Dave bought the truck for $15,000 and the 1922 Ford Model T for $5,000.

The team loaded both vehicles onto the massive trailer hitched to his Ram truck.

Once they got home, the team performed a detailed walk-around of both vehicles.

They were shocked by how well-preserved the wood of the Model T was.

And they were equally amazed by the stellar condition of the Cummins diesel engine.

Driving the Model T didn’t go as planned

After a lot of work and effort, Dave and the team actually got the Model T up and running.

And the experience was not as he expected it to be.

He even headed out on the main road to test out his latest purchase.

The video concluded with Dave asking the audience for their thoughts.

He was unsure of whether to keep the Model T original or do something extreme with it.

Likewise, he remained unsure of what to do with his new Mack truck.

His conundrum is whether to convert it into a show truck or use it for work purposes.
