The world’s most expensive dog – nicknamed ‘wolfdog’ – has been sold for an astronomical sum in India.
The super rare pup is a cross between a Caucasian Shepherd and an actual wolf.
The pooch was bought by celebrity dog breeder S Sathish who said he was happy to splash the cash because he is ‘fond of dogs’. That’s probably putting it mildly.
He’s named his new four-legged friend Cadabomb Okami.

The rare ‘wolfdog’ is the world’s most expensive dog
While some rich folks collect cars, Sathish collects canines – and the rarer the better.
His latest buy, Cadabomb Okami, is thought to be the rarest pooch in the world and came with a price tag to prove it.

“He is an extremely rare breed of dog and looks exactly like a wolf. This breed has not been sold in the world before,” he explained.
“The dog was bred in the US and is extraordinary.”
He was also extraordinarily expensive – for the money he spent on his new pet, he could have bought himself a Bugatti Tourbillon and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
So, how much did Sathish spend to get his hands on the hound?
A staggering $5.7 million. Yep – you did read that correctly.
And he has absolutely no regrets over the purchase.
“I spent 500 million rupees on buying this pup because I am fond of dogs and like to own unique breeds and introduce them to India,” Sathish said explaining why he bought the rare wolfdog.
He’s previously parted with $3.25 million to get a rare Chow Chow pup to add his army of pooches.
The dog-lover has more than 150 pooches
Sathish owns a somewhat unfathomable 150 dogs and makes a living from showing off his rare and unusual canines to packed-out crowds.
According to the New York Post, Sathish can earn as much as $2,800 for a half-hour show.

As well as happily handing over cash to buy rare breeds, Sathish spares no expense when it comes to looking after his pets.
He lives with them on his estate, which includes a seven-acre farm with a dedicated team of seven staff members to look after the dogs.
When not putting on shows or running around the farm, each dog has its own super-sized kennel to call home.
And if you think that’s seriously pampered, wait until you find out about Anant Ambani’s dog having its own Mercedes G400d.
