Inside the Bentley Continental GT Speed - the brand's most powerful production car

The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is the most powerful production car in the company’s 101-year history.

While it was built for speed, the performance GT still maintains the luxury and comfort the brand is known for.

The Speed variant comes with a bunch of extras including a different wheel design, side skirts, finishes on the grille, and Speed badging everywhere.

It also has massive 22-inch wheels.

While it wears a sportier exterior, it still screams luxury with Bentley’s signature crystal cut headlights and immense front grille.

And around the back, the GT has a beautiful spoiler that can go up or down depending on the driver’s preference.

Interior

Inside, the cabin is finished with leather and Alcantara.

The first thing you notice when you open the door is the detailed diamond stitching on the doors.

This detail continues on the seats too.

It also has a rotating display which lets you switch between the touchscreen and a veneered panel with three classic analogue dials.

The Speed variant is also finished with a carbon-fiber dashboard trim.

While everything is swathed in luxury materials, the interior design isn’t without fault.

It certainly wasn’t designed with backseat passengers in mind, as the backseat is cramped, to say the least.

Even if you’re not the tallest person in the room, there’s hardly any room for your head or legs.

But then again, very few people are likely to buy a Bentley with the comfort of their backseat passengers in mind.

Engine

The car is powered by a 6-liter twin-turbocharged W12, which produces an impressive 650 hp.

It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 kph.

When you’re behind the wheel, you can choose between different driving modes.

You can select Comfort for relaxed cruising and Sports mode which optimizes the engine, transmission, and suspension.

Sports mode even adjusts the exhaust to deliver a more impressive roar.

The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is the brand’s third-generation Speed variant.

It was originally introduced with the first generation in 2007, which was itself inspired by the Speed models of the 1920s.

2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed Price

The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is priced at $280,000, while its convertible counterpart goes for more than $300,000.
