So how did this happen?

A few months ago, Patek Philippe teamed up with Tiffany & Co. – the iconic New York City-based luxury retailer.

Together they released a co-signed 5711 Nautilus with a Tiffany blue dial that ended up breaking the internet.

The limited-edition Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany was created to celebrate the 170th Anniversary of the collaboration between Patek and Tiffany.

Only 170 units were made, and the first one was sold by Tiffany & Co. at Phillips New York in December 2021 for an eye-watering $6.2m.

The fact that all proceeds were going to charity definitely helped drive the price up.

The other 169 watches were sold to prominent watch collectors across the globe for $52,000.

Several A-list celebrities have been spotted wearing one since.

From Mark Wahlberg to Drake and Jay-Z.

We knew that sooner or later one of these 169 lucky buyers would end up reselling their Patek Tiffany Nautilus.

But we were absolutely not ready for the price.

The $3.22 million fetched at auction means the seller is now walking home with a 6,000% return on their initial investment.

About the Patek Philippe Nautilus

The Nautilus was first designed by Swiss watchmaker Gérald Genta in 1976.

The first model was made of steel but Patek has also released several variants in precious and rare metals, including gold and platinum.

These days, the Nautilus is one of the world’s most sought after timepieces.

Patek Philippe also makes the Aquanaut, another best-seller.

Supercar Blondie’s Alex Hirschi owns one.
