MrBeast has kicked Pewdiepie off the podium to become the world’s biggest YouTube creator.
The new-age celebrity, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, now has more than 111 million subscribers on the platform.
“What are the odds I randomly open YouTube to 111,111,111 subscribers at exactly 11:11 on November 11?” he Tweeted.

To celebrate, he bought 1,111 lottery tickets and Tweeted “something is telling me I’ll win”.
Donaldson first struck gold in 2017 after his ”counting to 100,000” video went viral.
Since then, he has steadily grown his platform by giving away insane prizes and large amounts of money.
In fact, when he reached the 100 million subscriber milestone back in August, he gave away an actual island to one of his followers.

“We just hit 100 million subscribers, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone that subscribed,” he said.
“To celebrate, I bought this ginormous private island, and I’m giving it to one of you.”
To win the island, 100 of his followers competed in a set of challenges.
In one, MrBeast made everyone play ‘Red Light Green Light’ from the hit Netflix show Squid Game.
Oh, and when he hit 40m subscribers, he also did a massive giveaway.
When he hit 40 million subs back in 2020, he took to Instagram to announce he was giving away 40 cars.
So, yep, he doesn’t do things by halves.
MrBeast said making YouTube videos was “the only thing that’s ever really made me happy”.
“I appreciate every single one of you that watches the videos. This is literally all I’ve ever done with my life,” he told his followers on Twitter.
“All I do is wake up every day and obsess over how to make the best videos possible. It’s all I care about.”

In 2013, he became the most followed individual creator on YouTube, and in 2019 he became the first individual YouTuber to hit 100 million subscribers.
