Polestar 7

The CEO of Swedish EV maker Polestar has confirmed plans to expand its current product portfolio with a future model dubbed the ‘Polestar 7’.

What form the Polestar 7 will take is currently unknown, but we’ll talk more about possibilities later.

What we do know is – according to Polestar boss Thomas Ingenlath – is that Polestar is determined to add production in Europe.

The thing is, it’s going to be at least five years before that happens.

“For us, what is important is to come to Europe at some point in time. And that could be around the time we start making the Polestar 7,” Ingenlath told Automotive News Europe.

So, the Polestar 7 could potentially be the automaker’s first vehicle to be produced in Europe, as current and future models are being manufactured in the U.S. or China.

Unfortunately, Ingenlath didn’t provide further detail on the car, but it’s fair to assume it’s some way off given the brand’s workload, which will surely keep them busy for the next few years.

Polestar 7 rumor mill

But a lack of detail has sent the internet into a frenzy, with the rumor mill firmly circulating.

Word on the street is that the Polestar 7 could be the brand’s new electric sports model.

Maybe we’re putting two and two together, but back in August Polestar posted five pictures on Instagram jointly with its Design Community account.

These pictures were to promote the official announcement of the Polestar 6 production.

The first four images were of the hard-top convertible revealed in Los Angeles last March.

But, the fifth picture showed a covered car alongside the upcoming Polestar 6.

To really throw us off the scent, Polestar darkened the image in order to hide details of the Polestar 7.

However, what we can see is that the Swedish EV maker will still stick to the brand’s traditional sharp lines on the sports model.
