Newly released footage shows the Tesla Cybertruck with a crazy new feature.
The Cybertruck, which has been delayed time and time again, is finally slated to go into production later this year.
And now we’re nearing closer to its (hopeful) release, we’re learning more and more about the truck and what it’s packing.

In a video posted to Twitter, which appears to have been shot at Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory, the Cybertruck can be seen doing a private demonstration on an empty factory floor.
And in the clip, the EV can be seen showing off its four-wheel steering ability.

The video, posted by @Tokyotesla1, shows the Cybertruck navigating each pillar, making extremely tight turns.
And when you look closely, you can clearly see the wheels turning in varying directions.
The video gives us our best look yet at the truck’s four-wheel steering capability since Musk announced it would have “both front and rear wheel steer” and “drive diagonally like a crab” back in December 2021.
While four-wheel steering is still quite a rare feature, it’s far from new.
In fact, the R34 Nissan Skyline had four-wheel steering all the way back in 1985.
Now, a few more cars have it, namely the GMC Hummer EV, which will actually be one of the Cybertruck’s main competitors.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk teased the four-wheel steering function all the way back in 2021, saying “we’re adding rear-wheel steering, so it can do tight turns and maneuver with high agility”.
So, as it turns out, some of Musk’s promises actually turn out to be legit.

In September, 2022, Musk took to Twitter to claim the Cybertruck would also serve as a boat.
“Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to serve briefly as a boat, so it can cross rivers, lakes and even seas that aren’t too choppy,” he said.
Musk continues to promise the long-awaited EV will be “a damn fine machine” despite the many setbacks it has suffered.
The Cybertruck is set to go into production later this year, but given the constant delays, we’re not holding our breath.
