Why buy only one Zenith Defy watch when you can buy a whole boxset of rainbow watches for $128,000, right?

Zenith released a new eight-piece collection as part of its Defy 21 series.

You can actually buy the entire box set, all eight pieces together, for a mere $128,000.

Inside the gorgeous presentation case made from iridescent acrylic you’ll find eight Zenith Defy 21 Ultraviolet chronographs in different colorways.

Each piece uses the same titanium case, sub-dials and crown, and the same white hour markers.

Meanwhile, the skeletonized dial and the movement are adorned using eight different colors: black, violet, blue, pink, orange, khaki, turquoise, and green.

To top it all off, Zenith gave each watch a matching Cordura-style rubber strap.

The watch is powered by the iconic El Primero automatic movement made in house by Zenith.

What’s crazy is Zenith initially developed this movement for Rolex in the 1960s.

For reference, this is basically the same as Ferrari using an engine made by Audi or BMW.

Obviously, Rolex stopped using Zenith movements a long time ago but it still says a lot about the quality of Zenith’s engineering prowess.

Production is limited to eight boxes only, each priced at CHF $118,000 – or $128,000 at today’s exchange rate.

That works out at around $16,000 per piece, which is more or less average for a Zenith Defy 21 chronograph.

The least expensive model available on the manufacturer’s website, dubbed Defy 21 Ultrablue, has a retail price of $14,000.

Meanwhile, the most expensive Defy 21 timepiece, the Defy 21 El Primero Carl Cox, costs $19,700.

But again, why buy only one Zenith Defy watch when you can buy a whole box set of rainbow watches for $128,000, right?
