A retired British Airways Boeing 747 jumbo jet has been bought for just $1.35 and will be converted into the ultimate party plane.
The plane was bought by Cotswold Airport in Oxfordshire, England and instead of endless rows of seats, now features a dance floor and drinks bar.

Usually, when a plane is retired, it goes to an aircraft graveyard where it never again sees the light of day, so this might just be the greatest, most savvy idea ever.
Cotswold airport did a huge amount of renovation, which cost a grand total of $676,655, $271,000 of which was used to build the concrete structure that houses the massive plane.
Inside, the plane has been fitted with a huge range of new features including the dance floor, fully stocked bar and $108,000 worth of lighting.
Even the overhead lockers have been removed to allow even more headroom when busting a move on the deck.
However, to stay true to its roots, the upper deck of the plane has kept some of its originality.
Instead of ripping out the business class seats and built-in TV screens, Cotswold Airport decided to keep the inflight TVs working so they could run a monthly cinema screening onboard. How cool is that?
In addition to this, the original cockpit remains as-is for guests to live out their piloting dreams.

To rent the party plane, it’ll set you back $16,200 for 24-hours, or an hourly rate of $1,350.
The 747 first joined the BA fleet in 1994.
It operated 13,398 flights and covered nearly 60 million miles.
The 747 took its final flight from Miami to London Heathrow in April 2020 and has remained grounded ever since.
