This is why the Bentley Flying Spur is a class above the rest

The Bentley Flying Spur is so luxurious in the back, you’ll probably want to consider hiring a chauffeur to drive you around.

Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner W12

If the truth be told, sedan versions of cars aren’t overly exciting – but the Bentley Flying Spur is one exception to the rule.

Think of it as a Bentley Continental GT performance coupe, but with two extra doors, which is a very good starting point for a luxury car.

Adam Gray recently got the keys to a Mulliner W12 version of the brand’s four-door limousine.

Bentley Flying Spur design

If you’re the shy and retiring type, the Bentley Flying Spur isn’t the car for you.

Instead, it’s a car with great panache – one that can be turned into a personal statement.

And at five and a half meters long, you can hardly miss it.

The huge vertical-slat grille, bewelled headlights, massive alloy wheels, and illuminated ‘Flying B’ all add to its imposing appearance.

Interior

The interior of the Bentley Flying Spur is about as luxurious as anything on the market, with deep carpets, soft leather, and beautifully finished trim.

One of the Flying Spur’s coolest features has to be its 12.3 touchscreen infotainment system.

When not in use, it can be rotated back into the dashboard leaving a clean fascia or old-school analog instrument dials, mood dependent.

It’s super easy to get comfortable in the front, thanks to the electric seat and steering wheel movement, but the back is where it’s at.

Even the tallest of folk can stretch out, and there’s plenty on offer by way of luxuries, like a fridge, rear televisions, a powerful Naim sound system, and massaging seats.

Performance

The range-topping Bentley Flying Spur has a 626bhp 6.0-liter W12 engine.

That lump drives all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

It’s a combo that makes the car effortlessly fast in a straight line, with 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) easily achievable in just 3.8 seconds.

Bentley Flying Spur price

The Bentley Flying Spur has a MSRP range of $208,600 to $315,200.

Bentley Flying Spur verdict

The Bentley Flying Spur ticks all the boxes: opulent interior, high tech, huge performance, and a comfortable ride.

The only problem you might find yourself having is whether to drive or be chauffeured around.

Hard decision to make.
