Elon Musk has time and again claimed that the Cybertruck can easily “become a boat” and “swim”.
Somebody took him literally, and just drove a Cybertruck into the ocean.

People on the beach in Port Aransas, Texas, were shocked when they saw a Cybertruck driving into the water.
Naturally, they immediately took to social media to share videos and images of the Cybertruck’s ‘aquatic’ adventure.
The water wasn’t that deep as the Cybertruck driver mostly remained close to the shore.
It’s still pretty impressive, though.
Back in September 2022, Musk said the Cybertruck would be “waterproof enough to serve as a boat”.
He added that the truck would be perfectly capable of crossing rivers, lakes and even seas as long as they aren’t “too choppy”.
It sounds exciting, but the only minor issue is we’re now just a few days away from the Cybertruck Delivery Event and there’s a lot we still don’t know about the truck.
We don’t even know how much it costs, even though insistent rumors seem to suggest a price tag in the region of $50,000.
The only thing that’s certain is Elon Musk himself admitted it’ll be very difficult to make it affordable, and so the initial $39,900 price tag that was announced in 2019 no longer applies.
Speaking of rumors, it appears that only 10 Cybertrucks will be delivered during the Delivery Event.
And to add insult to injury, they’re all apparently destined to Tesla employees and shareholders.
At that rate, it’ll take forever to meet the ambitious target set by Musk.
He previously who said Tesla is capable of producing up to 250,000 units every year.
The problem is it would still take approximately five years for would-be Cybertruck owners to receive their truck.
That’s because so far over 1.9 million people placed an order.
