If you have ever been confused in an airport, then this viral flight hack by a former airline employee will be quite useful to you.

We have all been there, scrambling to find your gate number in the massive airport, wondering which carousel your luggage is on.

Well, this nifty little flight hack can help you get all that information at the click of a button.

If you have ever struggled to find real-time updates about your flight, use this flight hack.

According to former airline employee Darby Maloney, this is her ‘No. 1 flying hack, besides getting TSA PreCheck.’

This little trick can save you a lot of time especially if you travel by flight frequently.

Like this woman, who commutes to and from work by plane.

Maloney’s flight hack is quite simple, as you just need to text the flight number to yourself and whosoever is picking you up from the flight.

The text message will then act as a link to get real-time updates about your flight right from your phone ― no ticket or airport TV required.

This flight hack can be super useful.

Especially for those who are flying from large airports, like Dubai’s DWC airport, which the government plans to turn into the world’s biggest airport.

So how does this flight hack work?

First, you need to get your flight number, which consists of a two-letter airline code and a series of numbers.

You can see the flight number in your booking confirmation or on your boarding pass.

If you have an iPhone, you can simply text your flight number to yourself or to your family or friends.

The text will then turn into a link that you can click on to preview your flight.

It will show where your plane’s location, gate number, expected flight duration, and baggage claim carousel.

If you have an Android phone, you will need to type your flight number in your Google search bar to get the same real-time information.

The biggest advantage of this flight hack is that you don’t need to download any app to get real-time information.
