Tile Mate
Tile was the first company that really made these little Bluetooth trackers popular.
These homing tags are simple to set up on iOS or Android and should last around 3 years on the included non-replaceable battery.
Tiles know their location by using Bluetooth to anonymously connect to any nearby devices that have the Tile app installed. Then once you are close by, the tracker will play a sound so you can pinpoint the exact location.
You won’t get the range or accuracy of GPS but these tags are a convenient and inexpensive way to keep track of your belongings.

Apple AirTag
AirTags work in a similar way to Tile but have some big advantages for iPhone users.
The first benefit is that you don’t need a dedicated app. AirTags can communicate with any iPhone to figure out its location, so in theory they should be more reliable. They also include Ultra Wideband technology that can guide you to within inches of your items, although this only works with newer iPhones.
Bizarrely, AirTags don’t include any way to attach a key ring, so you will need to purchase an extra accessory if you want to track your keys in particular.

Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag
Unlike the AirTag, Samsung’s Smart Tag does feature a hole to attach a key ring, without the need for expensive accessories.
Samsung’s offering works much like the other trackers and boasts an impressive range of up to 400 feet.
Although it should be noted that these tags are only compatible with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
But with two colour options available and a competitive price, these are the perfect choice for anyone with a Samsung phone.

Tile Pro
This is Tile’s top of the line key finder that offers a few advantages over the more affordable options.
The Pro offers a longer range, a more sturdy metal-framed design, and a replaceable battery. It also has a louder speaker, so you shouldn’t have any trouble hearing it even when your keys are hiding in the most awkward of places.

Chipolo One Spot
This coin-shaped tracker is a great alternative to AirTags and it even taps into Apple’s Find My network to help locate your keys.
The Chipolo One Spot offers mostly the same features as the AirTag with the advantage of a very loud 120dB speaker. It also includes a built-in hole to easily affix your keys.
Just note that the Spot is only compatible with iPhones, but Chipolo also make an identical-looking device for Android users.

The Curve is the largest of all the trackers we’ve mentioned but there’s good reason for the extra size.
It includes GPS, Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Bluetooth, to give you the best possible chance of finding your belongings.
You can use the Curve just like the other trackers at close range, but thanks to the GPS you can also find your item in more than 90 countries around the world.
The only downside is a required monthly subscription and the short 3-7 day battery life. But it’s definitely worth it if you’re travelling and lose your items in a remote location.
