This dude sent a six-figure Patek Philippe watch to a New Jersey car salesman to trade in for a Mercedes and a Porsche.

The timepiece presented was an expensive masterpiece and was immediately sent off to be valued.

And, as luck would have it, the car salesman had connections.

In fact, it even helped him with some business, too.

Patek Philippe is a luxury watchmaker

The high-end watch brand is revered by the world’s rich and famous for its exceptional quality.

For example, Patek Philippe’s new $1.13 million clock masterpiece would be fit for the desk of any billionaire.

Plus, you can even buy a couple of Bugattis for the same price as this Patek Philippe – crazy, right?

As you’d expect, they can fetch a pretty penny, which one car salesman found out for himself.

Content creator georgejsaliba explained how a customer sent him a watch to trade for a Mercedes G63.

The watch was traded for a flashy Mercedes

“You might notice I’m holding a Patek Phillipe watch box right now, inside it is a very expensive watch that a customer sent to me, and he says he wants to trade it for a G63,” said the salesman.

“The customer is looking for $130,000 for this watch.”

But, as luck would have it, he had a connection who was a watch dealer, and a customer who was trying to sell him a Porsche 997 GT3 RS.

I’m going to try and call him right now and use this as leverage,” said the creator, as he tried to secure the Porsche.

“I have something that might be able to sweeten up this deal,” he explained

The customer wanted $130,000 for the watch – but the watch dealer had differing thoughts on the price.

Plus, as the Porsche was valuable, he was reluctant to sell, so it was set to be a tough negotiation.

I’ll give you $300,000 and the watch for $120,000,” said the salesman.

But, as the car was hard to find in good conditon, the owner of the Porsche wasn’t sure.

“Give me $122 and I’ll try and make it work,” said the dealer, and the watch salesman was happy with the supposed price.

Online, users had a lot to say about the deal.

“The watch is worth more than the car,” said one user.

“Some good old-fashioned horse trading,” said another social media user.

“Honestly, you should keep it, it’s Patek Philippe,” explained one other.
