The GMC Hummer EV is here, and it has proven how fast and furious it really is when racing against supercars.
The limited-edition carbon fiber EV was pitted against five of the industry’s greats to see which car could top 60mph the quickest.
With the amount of power on the track, it was set to be a mighty showdown of engineering and design.
However, once the race got underway, even the professional drivers were amazed at the outcome of the drag race hosted by GMC.

The GMC Hummer EV – What you need to know
GMC is well-versed when it comes to making powerful autos, but the new Hummer EV sets a completely new benchmark.
The new EV is available in both an SUV and an EV pickup edition, with over 363 miles of range projected and 1,160 HP on offer.
But, don’t just take our word for it, GMC put the EV up against five supercars to see which could hit 60mph the quickest.

The Hummer EV was put up against a parade of supercar engineering: a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a Porsche Taycan, and even a Ford GT.
The race was like any other traditional drag race; all of the cars were lined up on the track, ready to go.
On paper, you’d expect a supercar to win, but the Hummer EV blew every driver’s mind on the race track.

The GMC Hummer EV sped off into the sunset and was miles in front of every other car.
We should note here that the GMC Hummer had four passengers and was the camera car, so this was quite unexpected.
It really was five supercars against one big supertruck.

Things levelled up when the Hummer was staged behind the supercars
To really test the Hummer EV’s capabilities, officials on the race track set the EV behind the rest of the cars before the start of the next race.

This move, however, proved no match for the pure power of the EV’s engine, and yet again, the Hummer stormed out in front of the supercar crowd.
“Being overtaken by a Hummer is a pretty surreal experience,” said one of the race car drivers.
All in all, the Hummer came first in all 15 runs, way ahead of its Ferrari, Dodge, Aston Martin, Ford, and Porsche competitors.
Of course, all of this power does not come cheap, with the GMC Hummer EV pickup starting at $97,200 and rising to $105,925.

The Hummer in the race also boasted the 2026 limited edition carbon fiber edition, which can leap from 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds.
The power this EV puts out could go down in history, but it may upset some supercar lovers in the process.
