After completely restoring a Lamborghini Urus from wreckage, the coveted SUV has been wheeled back into this UK garage, after the mechanic’s girlfriend ran into some major issues.
Restoring luxury SUVs is no easy feat yet, this UK mechanic has mastered the art and documents his rebuilds online.
However, this Lambo appears to be quite a pain in his Uran(urus).
Just two months after giving it to his partner, the keen sting of Valentine’s month has fired an arrow straight into its engine.

Recently restored Lamborghini Urus already hits major problems
Despite not being your typical car in their esteemed range, the Lamborghini Urus is well-loved by many.
So much so that luxury car dealers have been falling over requests for orders.
Restoration guru Mat Armstrong previously bought a completely wrecked Lamborghini Urus for cents on the dollar as a surprise for his girlfriend.
Of course, the present wasn’t the wreckage, as he put a shift in restoring it to its full potential.
But just weeks after getting behind the wheel of her favorite luxury car and ignoring a check engine light, the Lamborghini Urus broke down and is now back in the chop shop.
In a recent upload to his channel, Armstrong revealed that the warning light for the Urus’ coolant levels came on, but his girlfriend continued to drive it and, well, the warning had good reason.
The Lambo was producing clouds of smoke, indicating a number of issues were occurring underneath the hood, particularly with the water pump.
Bodge-it job fixes broken Urus
Having identified that the issue was with the ‘stupid’ vacuum system inside the water pump (effectively locking up and allowing coolant fluid in), a cheeky bodge-it job did the trick.
By disconnecting the vacuum, having it always closed off, and using two small bolts to trick the Urus’ diagnostics, the smoke completely disappeared with the next ignition of the engine.
The only downside to this feature being off was that it would take slightly longer for the car to heat up.
Still, the mechanic claimed that Lamborghini likely would have removed and replaced the entire pump in a costly labor job, effectively saving hundreds of dollars.
“The RS6 and the Urus are really good cars but they’re let down by the way that an engineer has built that engine. They should have let a mechanic build it,” Armstrong said.
All that was left was for him to fit new customized license plates – although they’re not quite as fancy as these Urus plates that cost just as much as the luxury SUV itself.
