This creator decided to make the impossible possible and create a fake Lamborghini Diablo on top of a unique chassis.
However, it wouldn’t just be him who would view the car; it was set to be scrutinised by enthusiasts at a supercar meet.
Surrounded by many other Ferraris and Lamborghinis, the fake model slotted in perfectly.
Cue the Mission Impossible soundtrack, as this Lamborghini battle had just begun.

This Lamborghini Diablo looked like the real deal
It’s no secret that the Lamborghini Diablo is a seriously pricey supercar, with many car enthusiasts unable to buy one during their lifetime.
So, one creator, Mike Lake, came up with a genius idea of creating a replica.

Sitting on a BMW E36 chassis, the car had the appearance of a Lamborghini Diablo, but the truth?
It was a drift car that had a remarkable exterior.
Deciding to test the project out at a car meet in Melbourne, the fake Diablo was about to be viewed by hundreds of car fans, which was the ultimate challenge
In fact, the fake Lamborghini was actually placed around real models to see what the public really thought of the unique build.

“This is absolutely wild,” said Mike as he drove into the car meet.
Upon entering the car meet area, the creator instantly noticed a blue Lamborghini and aimed to get it side by side at one point during the event.
As luck would have it, fate meant that the cars ended up next to each other in their designated show spots, and to the untrained eye, they looked remarkably similar.
“The vibe about it is so the same,” he said as the two cars lined up side by side, but he did note the big elephant in the room.

The two cars were slightly different model variants, but still both looked authentic.
What was the real reaction to the fake Lamborghini in the flesh from real fans, though?

The fake Lamborghini went undercover at the car meet
As you can imagine, the fake Diablo warranted lots of attention, with the ‘Slamborghini’ managing to trick most car enthusiasts.
“What is that, ya kidding?” questioned one man as he walked past.
“Look at the stance, wouldn’t turn real good, you’d have to drift it,” said another.
“They’ve got the engine in the wrong place,” stated one car fan.
“Rotary E36, and he put the kit car Lambo body over the top,” said another, noticing the build.
“I love how it’s got a fire hydrant in there,” said one passerby.
The unusual elements of the Diablo threw some car fans off and left them confused about the true origin of the car, but they were all seemingly impressed by its shiny exterior.

The video didn’t end there either.
The ‘Slamborghini’ was taken into the garage to have some extra elements added to make it look even more striking than before.
The end result? Bright pink race seatbelts, a new secondhand gearbox.
The fake Diablo really was impressive, and we bet it cost much less to create, too.
