Mate Rimac has just shown how the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar handles harsh winter weather, and you might be surprised by how the multi-million dollar hypercar performed.

Unveiled back in 2024, the Tourbillon is the successor to the Bugatti Chiron

Bugatti will produce just 250 units, each with a starting price exceeding $4 million.

With production set to begin this year, the Tourbillion prototype is currently undergoing testing, and Bugatti boss Mate Rimac isn’t shying away from pushing the car to extremes.

The Bugatti Tourbillon was seen taking on snow-covered roads

A hybrid hypercar might not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think about tackling snow-covered roads.

However, as part of Bugatti’s extreme testing, the Tourbillon is being taken out in all sorts of weather conditions.

In a recent post on Instagram, Rimac revealed that it had taken ‘five years of hard work’ to see the Tourbillon go from a ‘blank sheet of paper to road testing’.

The car has spent the past two years on various tracks and in testing facilities, but it’s also undergoing road testing in real-life conditions – such as some seriously heavy snow.

In a video, Rimac revealed both the prototype Tourbillon and a Rimac Nevera, both looking a bit like they’d got themselves caught up in a snowball fight.

The clip then cuts to show the cars driving along snow-covered roads, and managing to handle the extreme weather without any bother.

Sharing the clip, Rimac said it was ‘incredible’ to hear that beefy V16 ‘scream’ before admitting that there was ‘still some work to be done’ before the car would be ready to go into production and out to their lucky new owners.

The Tourbillon is set to go into production this year, and it’s a real beast

The new clip is sure to get the automotive world even more excited about the upcoming Bugatti Tourbillon.

And let’s face it, car lovers were already pretty hyped about the hypercar, and it’s not hard to see why.

Bugatti has claimed the Tourbillon will be an absolute beast, with an expected 0-62mph time of under 2 seconds, and a top speed of 277mph with the use of a speed key

The hybrid hypercar will pair an 8.3-liter V16 engine with three electric motors for a combined output of 1,775 horsepower.

And not only that, but it looks as though you’ll even be able to take it out for a spin in the snow…
