These are the measurements for the foldable iPhone that’s coming this year, according to a leak, and they focus on the one detail everyone obsessively checks first.

Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone is said to be edging closer to production, with fresh numbers that zero in on the crease in the middle of the display.

A Weibo account known as Fixed Focus Digital claims Apple has already sent orders to the production line, hinting that this futuristic device could finally be real.

And if these measurements are accurate, Apple is aiming to make the dreaded fold line almost disappear.

The measurements are tiny

According to the tech leak, the fold line on the 7.8-inch inner display for the alleged foldable iPhone is being limited to a crease depth of under 0.15 mm.

That is incredibly shallow, suggesting the groove in the center of the screen could be barely visible and barely noticeable when you run your finger across it.

The crease angle is also said to be under 2.5 degrees, which would mean the display looks much flatter when fully opened.

Other brands do not typically publish these kinds of figures, so direct comparisons are tricky, but the message is clear: Apple appears determined to make the fold as subtle as possible.

There are also claims that Apple is using a new Samsung-developed display panel that has not appeared in other foldables so far.

Earlier rumors have described the screen as virtually crease-free, which would be a major flex in a market where the center line is often impossible to ignore.

The foldable iPhone could be Apple’s boldest design yet

Beyond the crease measurements, the rumored specs paint a picture of a seriously sleek device.

The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch main display when unfolded and a 5.5-inch cover display in a book-style design similar to other foldables on the market.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously suggested it could include a dual rear camera system, a front-facing camera, and Touch ID integrated into the power button.

The device is also rumored to measure around 4.5 mm thick when open and between 9 and 9.5 mm when closed, which would make it impressively slim.

If Apple does unveil it alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models in September, this could be the foldable that finally makes the crease drama a thing of the past.
