Michael Jordan has quite a supercar collection and his latest addition is an open-roof Pininfarina Battista Targamerica.
During Monterey Car Week rumors were circulating about who commissioned the one-of-one open-roof Pininfarina Battista.
Turns out it was the basketball legend, Michael Jordan.
His latest addition might also be one of the most expensive cars in his collection.

Michael Jordan buys Pininfarina Battista Targamerica
Aside from being an NBA legend, Jordan is known for his love for his sneakers and his unique and covetable car collection.
His collection includes rare cars from Chevrolet, Bugatti, Porsche, Ferrari, Hennessey, and more.
Adding to that collection is a one-of-a-kind 1,900-horsepower electric hypercar — the Pininfarina Battista Targamerica.
However, the automaker has not disclosed how much Michael Jordan paid to get a one-of-one Battista.
The hypercar also has an open roof, which might make it more comfortable for MJ to drive at 6 feet and 6 inches tall.
The color combination of the hypercar is also bespoke with a silver-and-blue exterior and tan interior.
Yet another hypercar for the collection
This is definitely not the first hypercar Michael Jordan has added to his car collection.
He also owns a Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster and a Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir.
However, the Pininfarina Battista Targamerica is the fastest-accelerating car among them.
It can reach 0-97km/h (0-60mph) in just 1.79 seconds and has a top speed of 357km/h (222mph).
The Targamerica is the first one-off coach-built example of the Battista to come from Automobili Pininfarina.
Interestingly, the automaker has also made variants of the Battista based on Bruce Wayne and his Dark Knight persona aka Batman.
Other than that, the hypercar is also among the fastest EV cars in the world.
This kind of story reminds us that if you have enough money, you can get whatever you want.
And with MJ being one of the richest athletes in the world, it is not a big deal for him to buy a hypercar or two.
