TVR Garage has officially opened its first showroom in Las Vegas.

But the move comes despite the brand not having built a car in over 20 years.

It is perhaps one of the strangest business moves you will ever see.

And yet the TVR legacy lives on…in the deserts of Las Vegas.

Old British brand…is alive?

Okay, so this might be one of the stranger car stories you will have read today.

And it is because it concerns a now-defunct car brand from the UK.

But the car brand in question is seemingly not quite dead yet, because it is opening a dealership in Las Vegas.

Before we get into that, allow us to explain what exactly is going on here.

TVR is a brand that you very possibly might not have ever heard of before.

It was one of dozens of brands that emerged from post-World War II Britain.

The old factory was established in the seaside town of Blackpool in Lancashire.

Like many old British brands, it struggled quite badly towards the end of its life.

Despite building some pretty cool cars, the factory was shuttered back in 2004.

And very little has ever been mentioned of the now-defunct firm since.

But recently, something shocking has happened within the industry.

TVR revived – in Las Vegas

And it turns out that TVR has been revived – sort of.

Back in 2023, TVR Garage launched itself as a business at Monterey Car Week.

But the aim of the new company isn’t to manufacture new vehicles.

The aim, instead, is to focus on importing and restoring classic units.

Despite not being around for long, the business clearly has big ambitions.

Because the firm has just opened up a showroom…in Las Vegas.

It is highly likely that nobody has ever made a link between Las Vegas and Blackpool before.

And yet now we have one – albeit an incredibly unexpected one.

Andi Hughes is the co-founder of the new venture, and his statement was telling.

“Blackpool, a town known for its entertainment, what more appropriate place to home TVR Garage than Las Vegas, the essence of entertainment,” he said.

“Having a shop window only 10 minutes from the Strip affords us the perfect location to serve the local car community, while simultaneously providing access to the 40 million visitors to Las Vegas per annum.”

According to the company, its new dealership will be a freshly-modelled, 15,000sqft showroom.

At least one restored TVR Tuscan unit will be used as a demonstration tool.

Could there actually be an American appetite for restored TVRs?
