The V10 motorcycle uses the engine from a Dodge Viper

An 8.0-liter V10 engine is the last thing you’d expect to see powering a motorcycle, but this YouTuber had a vision.

Allen Millyard, a motorbike fanatic from the UK, decided to build something truly nuts.

The bike’s original top speed was 160mph, but that wasn’t enough for Allen so he decided to increase it to a whopping 270mph. A Bugatti Chiron‘s (electronically limited) top speed is 261mph.

Allen’s creation is powered by a beastly engine sourced from a 1995 Dodge Viper GTS.

The 10-cylinder powerplant that sits between his legs produces a whopping 500hp.

The engine itself weighs 750lbs and the entire motorcycle weighs 1389lbs.

Due to the ginormous size of the V10, a conventional motorcycle frame wasn’t the best choice.

Instead, Allen created two custom subframes that bolted to the front and rear of the engine.

It posed a problem right away as this design meant there was no space for a conventional transmission

But thankfully, the V10 motorcycle provides so much torque that there’s no need to change gear.

Allen has taken the bike to the Isle Of Man TT course, and completed top speed runs at Bruntingthorpe proving ground where it broke 200mph at the hands of motorcycle journalist Bruce Dunn.

Here’s how Allen built the V10 motorcycle:
