There’s a new hypercar exhibition at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles and it’s out of this world.

A total of 14 cars, from the Ferrari FXXK EVO to the Hyperion prototype: it’s got every vehicle that has shaped the so-called hypercar industry.

The Petersen Automotive Museum is located central Los Angeles, about 20 minutes from Downtown, and it regularly hosts some of the craziest exhibitions.

This one is called Hypercars 2: The Allure of the Extreme and it focuses, as the name suggests, on extreme vehicles.

CHECK THIS OUT!

We’re talking about hypercars with seven-figure price tags.

First and foremost, there’s the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, one of the rarest and most coveted iterations of Bugatti’s flagship 1,479-hp hypercar.

Next, we find 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, named after its power-to-weight ratio because it has one horsepower for every kilogram of weight.

The car delivers exactly 1,360 PS and it weighs 1,360 kg.

The collection also includes the $3m Sián FKP 37, Lamborghini’s first hybrid and also the most expensive production Lambo since the Veneno Roadster.

And then obviously, you can’t really talk about hypercars without mentioning Ferrari.

The exhibition features a black track-only Ferrari FXXK EVO and a one-off Kode 57 Berlinetta.

Based on the 599, it was built in 2022 for a collector who wanted to combine modern Ferrari features with the iconic design cues of the Testa Rossa.

The Hyperion XP-1 prototype is arguably the star of the show.

The chassis is made from titanium and carbon and it is powered by hydrogen fuel cells, which means it is fast but silent.

However, what it lacks in terms of sound it makes up for in performance: 1,000 hp and a 0-60 time of 2.2 seconds.

Last but not least, visitors will get the chance to experience the Apollo Intensa Emozione ‘in the metal’.

The Intensa Emozione is stunning in every possible way.

The name is Italian for ‘Intense Emotion’ and even though it’s built in Germany, it was indeed designed in Italy.

It is powered by a Ferrari-sourced 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated V12, delivering 780 hp.

Only 10 units are available, priced at $2,670,000

The exhibition is open now at the Petersen Museum through May 14, 2023.
