Despite crowning his Porsche GT3 Touring as one of his favorite cars ever, this YouTuber from Connecticut has still decided to trade it in.
The Porsche GT3 Touring might be one of the most divisive of the German manufacturer’s fleet.
Without the typical wings on the back, the Touring left some Porsche advocates a little stung, but its performance soon won people over.
Just as it did with American YouTuber Adam LZ – although, he still wants his ‘favorite car’ gone…

Connecticut YouTuber trades in his beloved Porsche 922 GT3 Touring
The Porsche GT3 range boasts some incredible sports cars.
The series has even turned people’s lives around.
But for Adam LZ, a YouTuber from Connecticut but living in Orlando, Florida, the 922 GT3 Touring became an unexpected heartthrob.
“This car is never one I would have picked. I’m a huge Porsche guy, especially when it comes to the wing cars, but I was never drawn to the Touring,” he said.
“I used to say the lack of wing looks like it had a slump butt, but I wanted something that felt different so we ditched the wing and we got a very special brown interior.”
And it was love at first sight.
“I’m extremely fortunate to be at a point in my life where I’m able to daily a car as special as this.”
Still, his ‘favorite’ car was recently put on the chopping block in favor of another Porsche.
“Every time I’ve traded in one of my Porsches, I’ve felt like it’s the right time,” he said.
“But in this situation, I don’t think it is, and I’ll miss this one.”
So, what did he trade it for?
Well, on the other end of a ‘deal I couldn’t refuse,’ was a Porsche 992 GT3RS.
With the wing being back and bigger than ever, the GT3RS is quite the pinnacle creation in this range.
This particular Porsche was lined up to be his competitive vehicle for an upcoming cystic fibrosis charity drive, and its ride proved to live up to the hype.
Built for performance with increased aerodynamics and bigger tires, the car instantly proved that it was the right choice, even if it came at a higher price.
Just minutes into its first outing, the creator was pulled over for speeding, although he only got a slap on the wrist.
Although he reflected on the loss of his beloved GT3 Touring, it appears the RS has filled the hole in his heart and more.
It turns out that the wing really is needed.
